“Schools should be culture centred. Along with the academics moral values and lessons for life should be given. This 14 days summer camp has to provide such an atmosphere that the children learn to respect their parents ,teachers and all elders along with practical knowledge of other forms of art” said Jothirlinga Chandrma Honakkatti, Circle Inspector, Barke Police Station, Mangaluru inaugurating the 14 days Shakthi Can Create camp in Reshma Memorial Auditorium. Through folklore of Uttar Karnataka he tried to convey the gist of Ramayana and Mahabharatha as well as poverty.
“Knowledge of mathematics is a must not just to learn the concepts and score marks but to apply it to their day to day activities and lay a foundation for a safe future life. It has to be taught just like any other language.” said M.S. Hebbar the resource person for maths models and number art. He said “For the all round development of a child involvement in any art form is essential. Just like the birds need 2 wings to fly an individual requires spiritual and Philosophical knowledge”.
Prathviraj, Principal Shakthi PU College in his Presidential address said “ During the Pandemic, there was no alternative but to provide cell phones to our children without they asking for it. But today taking it away from them has become quite challenging for the parents. Shakthi Can Create is organized to provide a platform to the children to hone their talents and skills and nourish them”.
Vidya Kamath G, Principal Shakthi Residential School, briefed about the functioning of the camp. Ramesh K, Chief Advisor, Neema Saxena, Co-ordinator Shakthi Pre School were present along with all teaching and non teaching faculty. More than 100 students in 3 categories have enrolled themselves and were present with their parents for this function. Sharanappa, Kannada teacher welcomed the gathering and compered the event. Poornesh P, Camp Co-ordinator proposed the Vote of thanks. Priyanka Rai, Science teacher mentioned the rules and regulations of the camp.
ಬೇಸಿಗೆ ಶಿಬಿರದ ಮೂಲಕ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಸ್ಕಾರ ಮೈಗೂಡಲಿ: ಜ್ಯೋತಿರ್ಲಿಂಗ ಚಂದ್ರಾಮ ಹೊನಕಟ್ಟಿ
ಮಂಗಳೂರು : ಶಕ್ತಿನಗರದ ಶಕ್ತಿ ರೆಸಿಡೆನ್ಶಿಯಲ್ ಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ 14 ದಿನದ ಶಕ್ತಿ ಕ್ಯಾನ್ ಕ್ರಿಯೇಟ್ ಬೇಸಿಗೆ ಶಿಬಿರವನ್ನು ತುಳಸಿ ಗಿಡಕ್ಕೆ ನೀರೆರೆಯುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಬರ್ಕೆ ಠಾಣಿ ವೃತ್ತ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಕ ಜ್ಯೋತಿರ್ಲಿಂಗ ಚಂದ್ರಾಮ ಹೊನಕಟ್ಟಿ ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಿದರು. ನಂತರ ಉದ್ಘಾಟಣಾ ಭಾಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಶಾಲೆಯು ಸಂಸ್ಕಾರದ ಕೇಂದ್ರವಾಗಬೇಕು. ಪ್ರತಿ ಮಗು ಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪಠ್ಯದ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಉತ್ತಮವಾದ ಗುಣ, ನಡತೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಂಸ್ಕಾರವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯಬೇಕು. ಶಕ್ತಿ ಶಾಲೆಯು ೧೪ ದಿನಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವ ಬೇಸಿಗೆ ಶಿಬಿರದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಸಂಸ್ಕಾರ ಸಿಗಬೇಕು. ಆ ಮೂಲಕ ತಂದೆ ತಾಯಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಮಾಜವನ್ನು ಗೌರವಿಸುವ ಗುಣ ಪ್ರತಿ ಮಗುವಿನಲ್ಲಿಯು ಬೆಳೆಯಬೇಕೆಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಜಾನಪದ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯದ ಮೂಲಕ ರಾಮಾಯಣ, ಮಹಾಭಾರತ, ಬಡತನ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಂಸ್ಕಾರದ ಕುರಿತು ಮನವರಿಕೆ ಮಾಡುವ ಅನೇಕ ಉತ್ತರ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಶೈಲಿಯ ಜಾನಪದ ಹಾಡನ್ನು ಹಾಡುವುದರ ಮೂಲಕ ಶಿಬಿರದ ಶಿಬಿರಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಪೋಷಕರನ್ನು ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಇಂತಹ ಶಿಬಿರದ ಮೂಲಕ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿತ್ವ ವಿಕಸನವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಇದನ್ನು ಸರಿಯಾಗಿ ವಿನಿಯೋಗಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಕರೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.
ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಯಾಗಿ ಆಗಮಿಸಿದ ಎಮ್. ಸತ್ಯಮೂರ್ತಿ ಹೆಬ್ಬಾರ್ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ಗಣಿತದ ಜ್ಞಾನ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರಿಗೂ ಅತಿ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿದೆ. ಗಣಿತ ಕೇವಲ ಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪಠ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂಕ ಪಡೆಯಲು ಸೀಮಿತವಾಗಬಾರದು. ಅದು ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರ ದೈನಂದಿನ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಪಯೋಗಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುವ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿದೆ. ಗಣಿತ ಮೂಲಕ ಹಣಕಾಸಿನ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಸಾಧನೆ ಮಾಡಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿದೆ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಗಣಿತವನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಬೇಕು ಹಾಗೂ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಧ್ಯಯನ ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಕರೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.
ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆಯನ್ನು ವಹಿಸಿದ ಶಕ್ತಿ ಪ ಪೂ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಪ್ರಥ್ವಿರಾಜ್ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ಕೊರೋನಾದ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅನಿವಾರ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಮೊಬೈಲ್ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಕೊಡಬೇಕಾಗಿ ಬಂತು. ಆದರೆ ಇಂದು ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಮೊಬೈಲ್‌ನಿಂದ ಹೊರತರಲು ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ಪ್ರಯತ್ನ ಮಾಡುವ ಅವಶ್ಯಕತೆಯಿದೆ. ಇಂತಹ ಸನ್ನಿವೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವು ಬೇಸಿಗೆ ಶಿಬಿರವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿರುವುದು ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಅನೇಕ ಪ್ರತಿಭೆಗಳಿಗೆ ವೇದಿಕೆ ಕಲ್ಪಿಸುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶವಾಗಿದೆ. ಆ ಮೂಲಕ ಅನೇಕ ಕಲೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹ ಸಿಗುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಪ್ರಾರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಉದ್ದೇಶದ ಕುರಿತಂತೆ ಪ್ರಾಸ್ತಾವಿಕವಾಗಿ ಶಕ್ತಿ ರೆಸಿಡೆನ್ಶಿಯಲ್ ಶಾಲೆ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲೆ ವಿದ್ಯಾ ಕಾಮತ್ ಜಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು. ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ವೇದಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಶಕ್ತಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಸಲಹೆಗಾರ ರಮೇಶ್.ಕೆ, ಶಕ್ತಿ ಪೂರ್ವ ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ ಶಾಲೆ ಸಂಯೋಜಕಿ ನೀಮಾ ಸಕ್ಸೇನಾ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಸ್ವಾಗತವನ್ನು ಕನ್ನಡ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸಕಿ ರೇಖಾ ಡಿ ಕೋಸ್ಟಾ, ನಿರೂಪಣೆಯನ್ನು ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸಕ ಶರಣಪ್ಪ ಹಾಗೂ ಧನ್ಯವಾದವನ್ನು ಪೂರ್ಣೇಶ್ ಸಮರ್ಪಿಸಿದರು.
