The celebration of planting saplings that was started in 1950 by Dr. K M Munshi, the then Agriculture Minister of India, has reached people of all age groups across the country now. This practice is observed during the first week of July every year and called Vana Mahotsava or Forest Day.
Shakthi Residential School in association with ‘Hasuru Mangaluru’ created awareness in the young minds regarding the preservation of nature on Saturday 6th July 2019. The members of the Management, the Principal, Staff and students planted saplings in the campus and took a vow to nourish and nurture those saplings.
ಹಸಿರು ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಚಾಲನೆ
ಇಂದು ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಭಾರತವು ಬರ, ಅತಿಯಾದ ತಾಪಮಾನದಂತಹ ಹಲವಾರು ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ಎದುರಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಇದರಿಂದ ಮುಕ್ತಿ ಹೊಂದಬೇಕಾದರೆ ಪರಿಸರ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಣೆಯಂತಹ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಶಕ್ತಿನಗರದ ಶ್ರೀ ಗೋಪಾಲಕೃಷ್ಣ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನದ ಆಡಳಿತ ಮೊಕ್ತೇಸರರಾದ ಕೆ.ಸಿ ನಾೖಕ್‌ ಅವರು ಶಕ್ತಿನಗರದ ಶಕ್ತಿ ವಸತಿಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಸಿರು ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಅವರ ಸಹಯೋಗದೊಂದಿಗೆ ನಡೆದ ವನಮಹೋತ್ಸವ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಯಾಗಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು.
ಪರಿಸರದ ಕಾಳಜಿ ಮತ್ತುರಕ್ಷಣೆಯನ್ನು ನಾವು ಇಂದಿನ ಯುವ ಪೀಳಿಗೆಗೆ ಮನದಟ್ಟು ಮಾಡುವುದು ಅತ್ಯಗತ್ಯಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ ಅವರುಗಿಡ ನೆಡುವುದರ ಮೂಲಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಚಾಲನೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.
ಆಯಾತರಗತಿಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಗಿಡನೆಡುವುದರ ಮೂಲಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಅರ್ಥಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ನಡೆಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಶಾಲೆಯ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ವಿದ್ಯಾಕಾಮತ್ ಜಿ, ಶಕ್ತಿ ಎಜ್ಯುಕೇಶನ್‌ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟ್ ಆಡಳಿತಾಧಿಕಾರಿ ಬೈಕಾಡಿ ಜನಾರ್ದನ ಆಚಾರ್, ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ ನಸೀಮ್ ಬಾನು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.
