Dussehra, Dasara or Dashain, also known as Vijayadashami is one of the most significant Hindu festival celebrated across the country with much enthusiasm. It also marks the end of Navratri festival and is the day when devoteesimmerse the idol of Maa Durga after nine-nights of puja. Celebrated with much fervour, the day symbolises the victory of good over evil when Goddess Durga killed Mahishasura, the demon king. It is also said that this was the day when Lord Rama defeated Raavan.
The students of Shakthi were asked to celebrate Dasara in a very refined manner and send the pics and videos of their participation in Dandiya with family and friends, Puttasharade, Doll exhibition, Vehicle decoration, Tiger dance and a documentary on the monuments nearby as well as the Karagakunitha. Our students left no stone unturned to make their presence felt, in fact they were omnipresent having contested in all events.
